About US
SUE Midwest is an alliance of three Midwest companies; Snyder and Associates, Inc., Hydro-Klean, Inc. and Great Plains Locating Service, Inc. Our individual companies are experts in our respective "core" business functions, but collectively we determined a need for Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) in the midwest and in our common service areas and feel our combined areas of expertise can provide these SUE services.
Snyder and Associates, Inc. - In business since 1977, Snyder and Associates, Inc. is a full service civil engineering firm with extensive experience in utility design, mapping and construction. They have been instrumental in the development of Urban Design Standards for 34 governmental agencies in central Iowa, which includes designating the location for utilities in new street corridors to facilitate the installation, operation and maintenance of the utilities. Snyder and Associates also have developed utility corridors for new and relocated utilities. www.snyder-

Hydro-Klean, Inc. - Hydro-Klean, Inc. is a niche industrial and environmental services company. They provide industrial cleaning, infrastructure maintenance, special waste handling, processing and waste transportation services on a scheduled or emergency basis. Their clients include both industry and government, most of which are located in the upper Midwest. In business since 1976, they attribute their success to the spirit of their highly trained employees, their commitment to safety and quality, and the relationships they have built with their clients, employees and
suppliers. Hydro-Klean, Inc. has established itself as the industry leader in its niche markets by exceeding customer expectations. www.hydro-klean.com

Great Plains Locating Service, Inc. - Beginning in 1993, Great Plains Locating Service, Inc. serviced utility companies in Nebraska. The company expanded into Iowa in 1995 and gained clients in five other states by 1999. Today, GPLS provides damage prevention services to over 100 utility companies, contractors/excavators, property owners and others in ten Midwest states. With a network of three regional offices, GPLS employs over 400 employees who provide utility locating and supervision of construction activities, relating to those utilities. Their company
philosophy of "Multi-Party Damage Prevention" has increased the awareness of damage prevention by opening and strengthening the communications process between the utility companies, the one-call centers, the excavators/contractors, the regulatory agencies and the locating company. www.gpls.com
